Hummer H3 he was a truck from General Motors’ Hummer division, introduced in 2005, based on the underlying GMT355 the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks. Produced at GM’s Shreveport, Louisiana factory and the factory in Port Elizabeth in South Africa, the H3 is the smallest of the Hummer models, and the first will be built by GM. It was as a traditional medium-sized SUV or a pickup truck known as the H3T available.
Launched in 2007, GM’s first South African lobster production plant in Port Elizabeth, this step leads to the Hummer brand in the South African market and also relieved the burden on the plant in Shreveport, Louisiana. The plant produces only the Hummer H3, and builds for the South African market and the markets of Asia and Europe.
